Hi everybody,

I was looking for some time for some kind of photo club in Berlin but realized, that they all seem to be “digital” nowadays.

Would there be any interest by some APUG members to have some kind of regular photo/knowledge exchange somewhere in Berlin? Usually either evenings (7pm or later) or on the weekend.

I would guess something like every 4-8 weeks could work.

Just an idea. Somehow, I would personally like to have more contact to other Analogies in real life.
Anybody interested?

Cheers

Ulrich

Hi Ulrich,

are you aware of http://analoguenow.com? - they organise a regular Analoger Fotostammtisch. I haven't managed to go to one yet but it seems that it might suite your needs.

If you want to organise something different I would be willing to participate.

Where are you located in Berlin?

Bests,

David.

Hi David,

Thanks for your reply.

I’ve been at one analogueNOW meeting when they started and somehow it was not for me. (though the group was fun)

Pictures were shown via a beamer and all of the photos were lomo type of photos. Nothing bad, but just not my type of photography. Did quite some large format things in the past and want to bring this to life again! More in the direction of fine art prints but for sure would never call my photos “fine art prints”. ;-) But I might give it another shot.

Would be more looking for a group where at least some of the “members” do their own processing, be it in black and white or color and where technical topics are covered as well.

And some type of more or less “fixed group” so we can learn from each other.

But for sure open to any suggestions.

I‘m in Friedrichshain/Mitte

Cheers

Too bad Berlin is too far off for me (Frankfurt area, across the Bavarian border) but if group meetings becomes something regular I might get the opportunity to join in if I happen to be in the area.

Hi Ulrich,

I understand what you mean regarding the 'Lomo' type of analogue photography - this is also not my kind of thing.

Let us see if there are more people in the Berlin area interested in meeting up.

In the meantime, send me a PM and then I can send you my contact details and we could meet up - I am in Prenzlauer Berg.

Bests,

David.

Indeed - it's not quite on my doorstep, but I see the mighty Ryanair fly regularly Otopeni to Schönefeld. So I'll keep an eye on this thread, would love to drop by one day if anything happens (it's a crime that I never visited Berlin yet anyway!)

Hi Ulrich, Hi David,
since 2017 I am a member of a small analog photo club in Neukoelln. Unfortunately everyone is so busy with his or her works and the exchange of specialist knowledge are actually rare.

Please let me know if you meet up. I would like to be there

Cheers, Rico

We will keep you posted.
