Well, we're off to Vienna for a couple of weeks, and we have a day and a half in London on the way. This will be my trickiest trip yet in terms of how much camera gear I can carry, as we have the baby and pram to contend with. I'll probably just take my Blad in a Lowepro Microtrekker with just the 80mm lens and one spare back and the light meter. It's a business trip for me anyway (not for the other two). I'll take one of those tiny mini tripods too, and a few rolls of film. It's going to be a great trip and any photo opportunities will just be a bonus.

Kevin, it's great that you will be travelling with your family. I hope you all thoroughly enjoy the trip. Cheers.

Pram's are great to carry photo gear around in

have fun!

Nige, I noticed that yesterday in London. I used the pram to carry the stainless steel tank I bought at Jacobs for two pounds, the eight rolls of 120 APX 25 I bought for one pound each, and the Hassy back I bought at Jessops Photographica for 45 pounds.

Sorry about the weather! (It poured down yesterday in London for the first time in about 2 weeks (and about the second time in 4 - 6 weeks) and the sun is shining again today...

Even more amazing is that you found something worth buying at Jessops!

Cheers, Bob.

That's okay - I didn't know the weather was your fault. Boy, it WAS wet, though.

It wasn't a normal Jessops - it's the one which sells collectibles near the British Museum.

Did I mention how bad the rain was?

A wheeled thing that you put cameras and such like in, whilst Mum carries the baby.
ha ha, so I am to understand that the manufactuers of the prams said it was for babies (like the American "stroller") but in fact, its for camera gear and related items??

ha ha, sorry for the ignorance.

Yep, so "pram" in Australia, "stroller" in the USA, "pushchair" in the UK and "buggy" in Austria all actually mean "camera and photographic trolley".

No way! That's going into my stash. I must have about 30 rolls or so now. It's going to be used for detailed shots of baby's fingers and toes, etc.

I know.

Nice photo, Nige. Hey, aren't you supposed to be working at the moment?
I'm not supposed to be, but am.

I was working... sort of... 2 'puters on the go doing the work for me
