I ran into an odd problem with this 80 that I recently picked up in a package deal.

On the slowest speeds, it is opening and closing really fast. I have no way to time it, but it sounds similar to 1/60 or faster when set at 1 sec, 1/2 sec, etc. There is no slow at all.

This has nothing to do with the barn doors in the body. After noticing the problem, I removed the lens and triggered it off the camera, cocking with a tool, and the result is the same. Shutter going off really fast, but it is fully opening.

I’ve heard of shutters sticking at slow speeds, but not running too fast.

Anyone experience this?

It means that the slow speed delay mechanism is failing to engage. Less common than a sticky slow speed in leaf shutters, but not unheard of. I have no experience with Hasselblads in particular, but it ought to be fixable with a typical clean and adjust.

Agree. It happened to one of my Mamiya C330 lens, sticky slow gears. A CLA fixed that for me. On the other hand, I once bought a lens for the same camera with the same behavior, and it turned up that the pin that drives the slow speeds gears was broken so only solution was to replace the slow speed gears.

My advice, send it to a technician.
