Observe a photographer in action

If you had the opportunity to be with a photographer past or present and observe their modus operandi when taking a shot, who and what shot would it be? For me it would be this (notice the fine line between the woman on the right in profile and the woman behind who perhaps is walking forward to negate this dark line separation) a fraction of a mm, but it makes the shot –

Maybe with O'Sullivan in the west. I know it would NOT be with Capa in the landing craft on d-day.

I'd wander around great spruce head island for a day with Eliot Porter. Some soft portraits with Hurrell would be interesting too.

I would love to have the opportunity to follow Jay Maisel around NYC for a day...or a week...or a month... Actually, I am considering one of his workshops for the fall. Hopefully, my schedule will allow it.

Good god he read a lot into that photo and I personally don't buy it.

I'd rather hang around Brassai or Kertesz tbh.
