I have a Wray London 18in APO Process Lustrar lens. It is in need of some repair.
The glass is dirty bu free of scratches. The apature is stiff and does not appear to stop all the way down to 128. It is also missing a mounting flange or retaining ring.

I need to know the following:
1.) is this lens worth repairing?
2.) if it is then whom do I request a quote from?

I am trying to get my 12x20 camera in working order.

Thanks

No PM's?

Tried to send a pm with a quote but was turned away.

Call Richard Ritter: 802-365-7807. Good work, fair prices, knowledgeable about old stuff.

I agree! Richard Ritter has done excellent work for me on my 5x7 Deardorff. Highly Recommended!

I use an 18" APO lustrar as a long lens on 4x5 and over that format it performs as a well-made dialyte should. It illuminates the ground glass on my 12x15" camera pretty nicely, but I have no working holders so I can't comment on on-film results.

The lenses are available very cheaply in the UK. I spent more on a retaining flange from S.K.Grimes than I did on the lens I use, and I have a second one with a dead iris which I bought for £10 so my kids could play with making telescopes. I wouldn't spend too much resurrecting a dud.
