O.T. How do I add photographs when replying?

If I start a new thread I see a row of icons just above where I type the body of the message, one of which is to attach a picture, but if I reply to a message in an existing thread I don't see this row of icons. What are the size limits for pictures attached to posts?

Hi Stephen!
Are you on Desktop? If so, do you have the three dots showing, right next to the icons for Smilies and Inserting a link? If you click those three dots you should get the option to do a lot more, including attaching pictures.
The size limit on attached files is 2mb so I would guess that is true for attached pictures as well, but don't quote me on that

(On mobile (android) I get the options to either add a smiley or an image without clicking the three dots)

Yes, got it now, thank you. I'm in Firefox on a Macbook pro.

I will need to downsize the files then.
