He is also a cornerstone of the Art photography community in Canada - apparently a great teacher as well.

There's plenty of good photographers in Canada, and it's a shame that so few manage to crack through the international market. Jeff Wall can certainly be applauded for that. Though I hope it will help others gain some notoriety, too.
