hwat a sad but beautiful article. I will print it out and keep it as my bookmark in my copy of Camera Lucida. A fitting place. I hope all that then each semester as I bring it out to discuss with my students, this will fall out as my reminder of what I stand to hold them to. remembering that the event of the image is the thing, not perfection. Thanks so much David for bringing this forward.
