Made with a magnifying glass, 5x7 lith film, Dearforff, D-23.
Scanned from Palladium print.
Yes I know the scanner glass was dirty.

Nice, Jim. It looks fairly sharp to the edges. (well, relatively) Did you stop the magnifying glass down?

Fantastic!

Too bad it was not in focus, you forgot to use the rule of thirds, and that it came out all brownish....

;-)

Looks nice, but I need a magnifying glass to see anything - it's a bit on the small side!

The glass is stopped down only enough to hold it on a shutter with black tape.

I realize it is small. I don't know the maximum image size for ths forum.
Jim

No worries, Jim!

With the extension .jpg the image can be 3000 x 3000 pixels or 1.20 mb, whichever comes first.

I created a number of apertures to go with my magnifying glass. It gives great coverage for 8x10, and stopped down to f-32 or so it makes the sharpness/softness a little more even across the image.

Great work!

This thread is close to a decade old!... and since Jim hasn't been seen since last June, here goes... He shot this with a magnifying glass on his camera. It's easy and fun to do. I even made a few "stops" with black construction paper. Working with the magnifying glass "stopped down" a wee bit, gave me best image.

haha, yeah sorry. a friend was telling me today that he sometimes uses modifiers on his enlarger's lens to manipulate images, curious if this was the same process. did the black construction paper resemble a lens iris? thanks for the help!

I carefully cut out holes with a scalpel. I see you just joined Photrio today. Welcome!
