In a way I feel like I am cheating on my best girl. I have been an Olympus owner for 20 years. Multiple OM bodies, flashes, motor drives and 30 lenses. I could use the excuse that GAS got the best of me. Perhaps the devil made me do it. Temporary insanity...

The package arrived yesterday. Inside a Nikon F3 with a DE-3 finder. The camera is certainly used, and I am pleased with the overall condition. All of the camera functions seem to work correctly. LCD info is bright and easy to see and cosmetically the body is only showing light use. However there are a few issues to sort out...

1) The focusing screen is a bit scuffed. Usable but a bit annoying. An easy fix.

2) The foam seals and the mirror bumper are shot. No surprise. The body is almost 20 years old. I can re-foam it myself for a few dollars.

3) This one may be a little tricky. It seems that there is a dent in the film door where it hinges on the camera body. The hinge pin for the door is bent about 2mm and I can't move the the pin in it's slider to remove the back(I didn't want to force it). Also the film chamber has a corresponding dent and it is pushed in about 1.5mm. I don't want to try and get the back off and straighten this until I can find a replacement back. What are the chances of getting this repaired and not having a light leak?

It seems like it should be an easy fix. I wouldn't worry about light leaks too much.

Where are you going to get lenses for it? I had my hands on a Nikon for about a month but that problem perplexed me so I handed it off to a friend...

I'm doing the Olympus and Nikon shuffle now as well too. Don't have nearly the amount of lenses you do but it sure is getting expensive chasing speed. In the past 2 months I picked up two 28mm f2's, one for each system lol. Now they are brethren to the 24mm f2's haha. Dang gas.
