Hello All,

I was sent a kind note from fellow APUGger, Baxter Bradford in the UK saying he had already received the November issue of Black and White(UK). Anyone on this side of the "pond" have one yet?

Thanks,

B.

Hi Bill,
I was going to send you a note tonight to say that my copy arrived today (in the UK though) and your work has reproduced very well - and an interesting read too. Very nice article

Hi Bill,
I was going to send you a note tonight...
Thanks Tim... It can be hit and miss with these articles. A lot of times it can be unnerving to read from an interview you gave. I knew I was in good hands... thanks to Ailsa. Hoping I get to see one soon!

Thanks Again,

Bill

I do not subscribe to any photography magazine...actually I don't subscribe to any magazine for that matter. I will just have to head over to B&N soon and take a look. That is quite an incentive Bill.

CONGRADULATIONS!

I bought October's issue last week and inside it said that November's issue would be out on the 12th (of October). Two days from now!

Steve.

I think subscribers should have it already.

It's my experience here in the midwest that the issues are always about 3 weeks behind.

I only buy the occasional issue, but that one will certainly be a keeper.

Hey... thanks to all for your confidence and offers of help. Leon (who I hear is also in this issue) was kind enough to send me some scans of the article and I am happy with what they chose to publish. I also heard from Ailsa McWhinnhe to say that copies are on the way via mail. Thanks to her big time for making this happen as well as making it painless.

David! I'd be happy to (he says with a red face).

I'm waiting to get mine...gotta convince the boyfriend that we need to go to Des Moines over the time he's off from his main job so that I can hit Barnes & Noble for the magazine and a few other things, then I have to go to the used camera shop to see how much it would cost to get my Meopta back in working order.

Hi Bill,

As Tim Rudman says, it's an excellent extended article and you've got the cover. The subscription issue, with no text on the front, looks particularly attractive.

If it's going to take months to get out to there, why not ask Ailsa to forward a PDF? (Just don't say I suggested it).

Regards
Jerry Lebens

Thanks Jerry,

I did hear from the Editor, Ailsa that copies were on the way. However the mail came today and it wasn't there yet. Also, Leon forwarded a scan of the article (without the cover) and I got to read the piece. Glad the cover looks good as well.

Thanks again,

Bill

Received a copy and am very happy. They do such a nice job on reproduction. Also LOVE Tim Rudman's image of Yosemite Valley. Spectacular. Leon (Taylor) from APUG also does a wonderful printed version of an Alistair Baird negative in "The Printer's Art" section which is one of my favorites.

Anyway... thanks again to all for your help.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this one. It seems to arrive at a not too distant Barnes and Noble by the middle of the month for which it's current. Congratulations on your publication!

It is in Borders today, November 7, in Fairlawn, Ohio between Akron and Cleveland. Your Borders may vary. Great cover, great article, great pictures. Congratulations Bill.

Great news Bill. I'll be on the lookout for this issue. When I last checked we still had the October issue, so perhaps by the end of the month, the November issue will be in.
