MACO in Canada

Hi all,
MACO film is distributed in Canada now by Blazes Photographic. Tel.# 1.888.561.0906. The man in charge is Michael Boylan. This film can be ordered via many stores across Canada. I do not know off hand who stocks it. Talk to your local dealer and they should be able to get you this film.

11x14 would be my first priority, followed by 16x20, lastly 8x10.

I have been shelling out for Bergger paper. time to find a less expensive form of the same paper.

Thanks Collin. Michael Boylan was the contact at Kindermann that I used to deal with. I guess that why there's no mention of Maco on their website now.

I recieved the same e-mail from Hans O Mahn(Maco)-If you E-mail them with a question,or any other communication they keep you in their database(I'm presumming)and send you any relevant updates.

The reference to Rollei R3 film slipped through the net here. Has anyone seen examples yet - there are supposed to be some on the web, but with photo.net down I can't find them (how pathetic can my excuses get?). The people who have used it in Germany seem to report that it is the magic bullet (but we don't believe that). 'Infinite quality!'

Here are just some of the comments, which I pass on in a non-judgemental and wholly irresponsible manner:

A replacement for TP, but less persnickerty.

A rival for TMY.

A replacement for Scala.

Usable at EI 200 and 400.

Or: Usable between EI 2 or EI 25 and EI 400 or EI 6400. Also gives winning lottery/Lotto numbers.

Clearer and flatter (thank goodness) than Cube 400c.

(Told you it was a magic bullet)

Cubic crystal. The name is meant to be pronounced 'r-cubed'.

Coated by persons unknown, cut into little bits by Tura, with Maco quality control.

Dead Link Removed already have it listed.

Also available in LF and ULF. Full range of sizes to become available in October.

I'm fairly sure that Nuance is in fact the same paper. Note that this thread is from 2004. At the time J&C wasn't carrying it yet.

You're right about that. I have a friend who can bring back a couple dozen rolls from Hong Kong for me on a semi-regular basis. The AH coating stinks, the film seems to be slower than it's box speed, and it's grainy. LuckyPan 400 is the same. The films are cheap though and they do form an image. It's just the thing for someone to use while learning to use a camera effectively. Use the 120 size in a Holga for that "dreamy" look.
