While this book is not about photography, for those who are not familiar it may just open a new world in front of them. I missed the closing time in the recently shut down thread on forum civility etc., but my point here is that the genius behind this master of irony and sarcasm is so eye opening, it just broadens horizons in general.

I specifically brought up this particular publication as his novels are great yet ... novels, kind of have to stick to the flow.

Here? You can read it in any order you like, any sentence at any time, don't skip any adds, contracts etc. The way Guilds are explained may just make your day.

Each and every one bit has something and sometimes requires a bit of focus, but eventually you will find the depth of humor that could only be built with painstaking attention to detail. A sort of pre-visualized writing style.

There is nothing here that is not important, or acts as a filler, it's all needed to bring it all together. Once you swallow its impact you can move on to his novels. Yet frankly, this one IMO is the best of the best of Mr. Pratchett, sadly a master who is no longer with us.

Understanding Pratchett's approach to putting his ideas together could just be a huge step in improving one's own craft, whatever that may be.
