I received it in a box of darkroom goodies I bought through craigslist and it says Vivitar on it.

Anyone know what this is?

Sure looks like one of those suction-cup arrows they gave us as little kids so we wouldn't shoot somebody with a real pointed arrow! Medieval combat
with OSHA approval?

Stirring paddle. But I really really like the magic wand idea. Maybe i'll try waving it over a print and see if it helps. SOMETHING's gotta.

It is an overhanging dippleplunger. Noted by the little cup at one end. This distinguishes it from the plain dipple.

Ohhhh I get it now. This is the left-handed one. The cup is reversed on the right-one. It's just missing the little inverse flange wigdet on the transverse.

It is "Back to the Future" episode where they went into the future and realised what evil digital came out. They went back and made this Vivitar stick to destroy the Epson 4490P scanner and set you free for bright future with their "Vivitar Darkroom kit".

It looks like a dinglehopper to me. Maybe because I've watched too many Disney movies. The Little Mermaid was one of my daughter's favorites.

C'mon guys, I know it's APUG, but you can call it what it really is. It is an Epson scanner.

But the dippleplunger on top could cause a short. I'd watch out for that.
