A friend has asked me if I could find any information on the above names, he believes his late Father placed some transparencies with them for possible sale in the 1990's.
Apparently the three names were one company in the Cheshire, UK, area, perhaps Stockport or Manchester. There's nothing now in the phone book or on Google.
Any help would be appreciated, please.

I know the northern picture library and alphastock - I too sent slides to the northern picture library back in 1980 and heard nothing until I received a letter in the late 1990s from alphastock to say they'd taken over the photo stock. I called them and they described my slides. I decided (wrongly) to let them hold onto them - they did offer to return them but assured me they were legit - wrongly again! I don't expect to see my slides again sadly. I have like you been unable to find these companies. I did see one of my slides used in a postcard of the bass rock - I know it was mine as it was recognisable by a blurred gannet diving at the lower left corner. I received no payment. Unfortunately I think these are companies that started out legitimately but didn't maintain it. Wish I could help more - good luck in finding your slides and please let me know if you find out who has them.

Hi, Alan Davidson. Welcome to Photrio and your thoughfulness in trying to help. I spoke to my friend last evening, and, while he would obviously still like to trace his late Father's slides, he says he has, realisically, given up at this stage. He tells me that his Dad definitely received some small cheques from Northern Picture Library for slides published at the time, but this eventually dried up........as you say, sometimes small businesses start up with good intent, but don't have the resources to make a success of it.
