I'm dreaming at the moment, but sometimes I see deals on this film scanner online. What exactly is needed for a PC and interface (with what connections) to be able to use this scanner? What is the latest version of Windows this will work on, including using the Noritsu software? I used to work in a photolab that used an older version of this film scanner, and to date- it's still my best scans and quickest workflow. I miss being able to use that old Noritsu with my own films. So if I ever bit the bullet and got one of these units, what exactly do I need other then the film size tray attachments and a sturdy desk? Does the software work with wide-screen monitors or only 4:3? Anyone here have or use a HS1800?

Anything modern (or half ancient) will work, really. If it's got USB2, 2GB of RAM and 60GB of disk, it will work. Faster computer won't hurt, or course. Wide-screen monitor will work with no problem, but won't be any advantage over 4:3. I only have LS-600, but the software (EZ Controller) is the same. I've run it on a notebook from 2008 with WinXP, on a modern computer with lots of RAM, SSD and Win10 64bit, in virtual machines...

You can work with the monitor you want. I have a HS1800 with a 24 inches Benq
