Just thought I would start a Norita 66 camera group to see if anyone was interested in discussing this fine but some what rare camera.

Jamie,

I don't have this camera and I have only seen them on the net, never in my hands. But I like the idea of the large 6X6 SLR and also this 80/2 lens it has. Would love to run a film through it and make prints, small and large.

Can you tell something about this camera? I assume you have one?

Ah, the Norita 66. I bought one when I was in high school I think. I saved paper route money to buy it on Lay-Away from a local camera store. It was my first "good" camera. I don't know why they are so expensive and collectible. It was a good, well functioning camera with a good lens. I don't recall it being superior to other brands of the day from Mamiya, Bronica, whatever. If I had had the money I probably would have preferred a Mamiya RB67 or Pentax 67 for the bigger neg, but I didn't!

Hi guys. I do have one of these (w 80 F2, hood, and maybe extension tubes, need to check) and want to sell it. What should be a current going price? I'm not sure whether I'm allowed to do this in a thread. If not, please accept my apologies and I won't do it anymore. Still if someone is interested you can PM. Thanks. Good shooting.
