To each their own I suppose. Looks derivative and weak. Take a look at the real master sometime, Helmut Newton.

Araki's Sentimental Journey (on the passing of his wife Yoko) and the photographs of his cat Chiro belong to the absolute highlights in photography and photography books. It is caring work and emotional-with-a-certain distance. Quite contrary to the sexual work which leaves me cold.

Moriyama is without any doubt the true master. His 1972 book Goodbye Photography renewed photography in a way that was never done before. This book belongs way up there, with Sander's Antlitz der Zeit and Frank's The Americans.
