There's a really nice 5x7 Deardorff for sale over at the Classifieds for Sale Forum, but it doesn't have any front swings. How important are front swings on this type of camera? What are the pluses and/or minuses? I'm thinking mostly landscape photography.

It's a movement I've very rarely needed to use for landscape work, in fact front & rear tilt are more important. Many older 10x8 cameras had no front swing, it's the least used movement, and the larger the format the more critical movements are.

Most cameras have a bit of rear swing which is enough especially combined with stopping down for good DOF..

From my own experience, I'd say it will not affect you in a landscape situation. Rise, fall and some shift is what I use.

It looks fantastic!

NFS doesn't bother me. I do like to have a swing in either the front or the back.
