In the back of Hutching's Book of Pyro he describes and illustrates a home-brew nitrogen burst system for even development of sheet film with PMK.

The bulk of what I shoot is 120 roll film. I've got a busy schedule and I'm looking for a way to design (or buy off the shelf) a nitrogen burst system that gives even development with 4-8 reels of 120.

Does anyone have any leads for me on how to modify Hutching's burst instructions for developing 120 film in PMK on reels?

Gas burst duration and interval can be fine tuned. I'm aware that the agitation effectiveness is not due to the bubbles themselves but rather the raising and lowering of the fluid when gas is rapidly discharged into the bottom of the tank.

However I don't know if it would be better to have rows of bubbles that ring or partition the reels without actually introducing bubbles underneath the reels themselves—or better to have finer bubbles across the entire bottom of the tank that rise up through the reels and get in between the rolled film.

Guidance very much appreciated!

Thanks,
