Only on Internet forums we can have 3 pages of discussions about rubber/nylon/whatever gloves....

We have had more pages on the proper mixing of Gin martinis. They are stirred not shaken, Ian Flemming did not know anything! And Vodka does not belong in a martini either.

A better question is:

Sardines live in the ocean. Olive oil comes from olives. So why are sardines canned in olive oil and olives are packed in salt water?

Also Martini is the masculine plural form, so why do we order "a Martini" when we mean "one Martinus"?
