Good day everyone,

I'm looking to get a Nikon PISTOL GRIP 2 to use on my Nikon F2, but mostly on my Mamiya RZ67. KEH has the grip in stock, however, it lists it as "without retaining knob grip"; does anyone know what that is and if it would affect mounting the grip to the Mamiya/Nikon via the tripod socket?

Thanks!

I'd pass; the missing part is what is used to screw into the 1/4 inch socket hole which then goes into the pistol grip. I've had a pistol grip for years that I got for 5 dollars missing that part have been looking for a replacement ever since. At one point I was considering having a custom part made but it was too expensive, IDK maybe now it would be cheaper with 3-d milling.
