Nikon mf-27 data back question

Hello,

I am looking to pick up a data back for my f5 as I like the idea of recording dates.

Can anyone confirm if the back offers the ability to place the date between frames rather than in the image itself?

I'm guessing you would rather have the mf-28 ?
Lots of information there on Canon and Nikon cameras along with their accessories .

My F5 has the MF-28 back. It does indeed print the information chosen between or in frame. Your choice in set up.

I use my F5 with the data back. Actually the MF-28, not the MF-27.

Pros:
- you can print several things between the frames (exposure data or date/time, different formats)

Cons:
- Menus are weird
- I miss "dd/mm/yy, hh:mm, speed/aperture". That would be what I would love between the frames, but not possible. Either date/time or exposure info.
