Hi,
I've got a LS-9000 and right now only the Nikon software.
One of the biggest issues I have is that this software only allows you to select predefined areas to scan i.e. 6x7 and you had better have the film aligned perfectly.
With my Epson 3200 and the Epson software I can select any region and any size that the MF holder has.
Does anyone have VueScan or Silverfast for the LS-9000. Is the selection of the scan area more flexible?
Thanks
Jim

Let the Nikon software generate the thumbnails. It will try to detect the frames. If it doesn't get it quite right you can use the fine tune cotrol to correct the alignment of each frame.

Vuescan is no better in this regard.

I prefer to use the Nikon software. For negative I scan as positive and invert with other software.

Thanks... I finally found the tool section where the control was. I was assuming it was a mouse based "drag" when in fact it's a numeric offset field.
