I bought a very nice looking Nikon FM a while ago at a swap meet........
When I got home I found that the ASA window on the speed knob is missing and the camera does not work
with a MD12 very annoying other than that it works very well.
I decided because the Motor drive issue is still a bother.... to take it apart and have a look, I am of course expecting dirty leaver switch or a bad connection on the motor on / off ring ect..
What the #$%....Someone has disconnected the wires to switch and taken out the little arm that pushes from motor on/off switch (The ring around the shutter release) to the contacts.
Does anyone know why this would be removed?...
I don't expect that any one has any parts for FM's anymore, my best bet would be a very very dead FM in a scrap bin, I have asked around locally but no go.....Yes the turn up on $Bay but they seem to be selling for a lot more than they use to....even broken.
If you have a very very dead FM camera, or the two parts (there may small spring too )I am happy to pay for the shipping to me in sunny Australia.
