Filthy Dirty but seems to work splendidly. The FG was Nikon's first "Program" camera body.

It has Manual, Aperture Priority, and Program. It also was the first titanium side travel shutter! The 50mm Series E is included. Has cleaning marks up front. Whooda thought anyone ever cleaned anything on this!

Another feature never advertised, but one I loved is that for very low light photos in aperture Priority mode, it will calculate speeds far longer than what it advertises on the dial. Try it. I learned to trust it and got lots of neat night time Velvia shots with these back in the day. Meter works great. How 'bout $55 + shipping

Not everyone like the FG but I think they are good. Manual, aperture priority and programme modes plus TTL flash ability all in a compact package similar in size to an Olympus OM.

My father gave me one of these in around 1980 and it still works perfectly and has never needed a repair.

Thanks Steve.

I walked into Canoga Camera in Reseda Ca. in 1982 to buy a Canon AE-1 and the salesman talked me into a Nikon FG instead. I've been a Nikon guy ever since! Years later when I did have an AE-1 to play with, the Aperture Priority system that Nikon offered seemed a thousand times more intuitive than the foolish shutter priority of the Canon.

This dirty one isn't that camera.
