It's time for this baby to go. I am kind of sentimentally attached to the camera as it was the first camera I ever used; it started my journey with photography. My dad bought the camera in 1980. Aside from a missing rubber eye ring and some minor brassing on the film memo holder, the body and lens are very clean and in very good shape. Everything works like when we first bought it, and the optics are perfect since they have always been protected by a UV filter. Recently one sold on apug for $175 (135 body plus 40 lens), so I’m asking $110 for the camera and $40 for the lens, plus shipping and Paypal if you go that route. Reasonable offers will be entertained.

I'm selling it is because I am paring my gear down to what I use on a regular basis. When shooting 35mm, I tend to grab either a Nikkormat FTn (I love its brick-like quality) or an F4 instead.

You can read extensively about the FE here: http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/nikonfeseries/fe/index.htm

I can be reached at anthony dot karnezis at gmail. Thanks for looking.

Very nice looking camera. If I didn't already have one, I would be tempted.

Good Luck.

Hi Pete. Thanks for the question about light leaks. I never thought of the issue because I have never had a problem with light leaks, so I guess that means everything is in good working order. The foam "bumper" that stops the mirror at the top of its path is in good shape too.
