Nikon F80 (same as N80) in good used condition with the optional MB-16 battery pack/grip (4 AA's).

$70 plus shipping. US only. PayPal as "gift".

This is a great working body with sophisticated AF and matrix metering, but I'm so well stocked in early manual focus lenses that I think I'm going to stay put in the 1970's (and 60's). It is also the quietest Nikon I've every heard.

I've shot a number of rolls with the camera and everything seems to work great. The body shows some handling wear but I think think that is mostly the thin rubber coating they used on some parts. I don't really think this was used all that much.

You can use it with or without the batter grip. Most people prefer the grip, but I kind of liked the tiny size when using lithium batteries in the camera.

I have a very nice 28-200 AF Aspheric Sigma lens if the buyer wants it. $50 w/purchase of the F80.

I'll post pictures of the body later. Preference given to regular APUG participants (meaning only that I've had too many suspicious responses to a couple of past listings).

Great camera. I remember lusting over one when it first came out and I was living in Beijing at the time. Arranged to get one on a side trip to Hong Kong. Loved it. Great performer. Alas, I'm down to my F3 and FM2 with my Nikon bodies now as I only shoot B&W with the older manual-focus Nikkor glass from the 60's but miss the F80 sometimes.....Good luck with the sale.

Is this the one that imprints the exposure data between the frames?

I think that was the F80S model; it is covered in the manual that came with this one. Just pictures with this

BTW, original manual is included (somewhat worn from being carried in the camera bag). This came from the father of a friend who was a Nikon starting fairly early in the F era.

Additional lens available - $15!

I'd really like to find a home for this, so ....

For $15 additional I'll include a slightly cosmetically challenged, but optically excellent (glass is in excellent shape) Sigma UC 28-70mm f3.5-4.5. This is an excellent lens and I believe is the lens that Leica used as their original 28-70mm Vario-Elmar-R (check the prices on those). A friend told me about these quite a few years ago and I had intended to hang on to this ICOD (in case of digital).

Glass is fine, works fine, the finish is just a little funky and the distance scale window is clouded.

$85 plus shipping for the F80, MB-16, and 28-70.

Quietest Nikon

And one final thing for your entertainment. I put this recording together for the "Most Silent Nikon" thread and thought it would be relevant here. Headphones are best; some are none to loud.

If I did not have two, I sold my F4 and three N90s, but I do miss my F4. I do like the weight of the 80, carring the F4 around all day was hard on back.

Yes, the light weight is something I liked. And the option of a very compact camera with the internal batteries, or the AA pack/grip for lots of shooting power. It really seemed like a better sorted camera than the F100 in some ways.
