Hi all, I have an issue regarding the vertical release on my Nikon F4e. When I press the shutter release button on the battery grip, the shutter does not fire, the only thing that happens is the light meter turns. When I use the normal release on the top of the camera, it fires normally. I had also tried using my remote release to see if it would fire and it only turned the meter on. I changed the batteries and nothing had changed, I had also tried to clean all the contacts on the battery grip with a microfiber cloth and nothing had changed. Could this be a disconnected wire in the battery grip? and if this was the case, how does the meter turn on normally? Thanks in advance.
