Your LCD start bleeding probably because the camera experienced high temperatures, it act like a overheated thermometer and pop out some liquid.
It can stay in actual shape for years so avoid high temperatures.
I successfuly "refurbish" some F4 upper left LCD by spinning, heating, spinning, heating, waiting 2 weeks ... at 7200 rpm using a hard drive. The liquid move in "visible on viewfinder" area.
F4 have a particularity .. upper LCD area is partially visible in viewfinder so i moved liquid in useful zone.
Anyway the LCD can be replaced with one scavenged from a broken-for_parts-as_is cheap body
