Hi Everyone,

I have a small problem with my Nikon F3 and hope someone can help.
The illuminator button located on the viewfinder does not function. It is hard to press and the LCD panel it is supposed to light up remains dark in low light conditions.

If you know the F3 you probably think like me that this red button was poorly designed and is hard to use even when it does work. What did the Nikon engineers think when they designed this hard-to-find, annoying little thing?

Thanks in advance for your help.

It is a pain in the backside to use.The camera must be turned on and the shutter button partially depressed.
Does that help?

Thanks Mike, but I think the button is stuck, it does not move at all. I wonder if someone knows how to fix this. Open the viefinder and check the matter from the inside?
