This is an F3 that's been around the block a few times, but has good life left.

First the bad news;
The meter has a bit of odd behavior, from frame zero through about frame 3, it operates, then quits until about frame 10 and functions normally after that.
Normal for this camera is for the shutter to be fixed at 1/80 (i.e. no metering) for the first two frames (to wind off the leader) then operate for the rest of the roll.
In any case the speeds can be manually set. This is no consequence if you're using an external meter, or aren't worried about changing light for those first few frames. I don't know what repairing that might entail.

Cosmetically, it shows some bumps on the prism and one on the body near the wind lever. The film reminder frame on the back has dents and scrapes, with some brassing on the body and prism housing.
The eyepiece is missing, these can be found on ebay. Also missing is the cover for the motor's coupling hole in the camera baseplate. You'll want to use some tape over that or find a replacement if you decide to run the camera without the motor.

Operationally, except for the meter problem already described, the camera works well. The speeds sound right and it makes consistent exposures, and the meter is accurate and matches my other F3. It doesn't leak light.

The other controls work as expected, even the "night light" in the prism.

Camera as shown/described with MD 4 Motor drive $130.00 USD + shipping with donation to APUG.

I'll ship it anywhere in the world. Payment via Paypal or check (domestic US only). I'll also consider trades for a AF Nikkor lens of similar value.

Curious about this camera. Does the meter behave as you describe with and without film in the camera? The F3 is certainly a very capable camera even in partly-working condition.
