You know the story - in case you don't I copied the last post here. Here is the link to the "official" contest:

http://photo.rwboyer.com/2011/02/06/nikon-f3-give-away/

Here is what it is about:

I have like 5 F3 bodies. All function perfectly and 1 is enough for a lifetime so... I figured I would share the wealth. I do a lot of writing about digital on my blog but I have shot film for more than 30 years - never really stopped.

I figured it is a good way to promote the other other white meat of photography to people that have never enjoyed a really good traditional film body whether they have shot film before or not. I thought an F3 would be the perfect cross-over. Convenient enough to operate but very very simple basic and traditional controls vs something that requires a lot of effort to figure out how to load or index the max aperture.

I thought all of you here on APUG would enjoy promoting it out there. My readers are 90% digital users and 10% film users. (we all realize that getting others hooked on film is only to fuel our diabolical plans to ensure we have some forever right).

Of course all of you are free to participate as well if you would really really like an F3 but please exercise some restraint if you already have one or 5 like me.

Thanks and looking forward to your input.

I am not participating but curious if you have any pics of this middle of the road condition F3 and did you decide what with or without lens and which lens if included?

I'm gonna write something up for sure! I've been wanting a Nikon F3 since first seeing/holding one about 7 years ago. Only problem is that I'm a tried and true Canon shooter! But I'd betray my roots in a second to shoot with one of these!

As soon as I have a couple of minutes and actually select which one is going I will post images. I have decided which ones are NOT going now it's between two - I think I will run a roll each through them and make sure the one I pick is perfect from a functional and meter standpoint. These things don't see a ton of use as I have so many and tend to use the same one over and over. (The worst looking one depending on if you like beat up cameras or not the two that are in the running are definitely used but not beat up)
