For Sale Nikon F3 Body With Motor Drive MD-4

DESCRIPTION: Nikon F3 Body With Motor Drive MD-4. No Lens. Camera serial no. 1376363. Drive serial no.276403. Batteries not included. As shown.

CONDITION: Body is in pretty good shape with some age/finish/use wear and soiling. The battery compartment in the motor drive had some battery corrosion which I cleaned out the best I could. After which I loaded fresh batteries and the drive was functioning fine. I put batteries in the camera body too for testing, and I couldn’t get the camera to work without the motor drive attached with batteries loaded too. When the motor drive is turned off, but still attached to the camera, the camera will function fine on it’s own. But if I take the grip off, the camera doesn’t want to function. I‘m not all that familiar with Nikon cameras, so, It might be something I’m doing wrong when I take the drive off. Seals are getting old. Shutter speeds sound ear accurate at all speeds, viewfinder has minor dust. Manual film advance lever is working. The frame counter doesn’t seem to be going back to 0 after the back is opened…but again, it might be something I’m doing wrong with this body. Camera is not film tested.

Probably is one of the wires connected to the battery chamber that's making intermittent contact. Had issues with my second F3P body. Did the same thing. Found that the ground wire had come loose and was not completing the circuit.

Anyway, good luck with the sale.
