Hi!

Wondering if anyone can provide any insight to the working of the little silver "Shutter speed dial lock" on top of the shutter speed selector dial of the DP2? Mine is stuck in the pressed/down position so the DP2 shutter selector knob free spins back and forth (just thru the small arc of the low-light metering range) no matter where the selector is set, and won't lock in for the normal metering range. So if I set the shutter at 1/60, or wherever, the selector knob will free-spin about 30-degrees or so either direction of wherever it is set, basically like keeping your finger pressed on the little silver button all the time.....Hope that makes sense, and thx for any insights!

Hi- I was able to solve the problem by returning the camera to the store I got it from and getting my money back

Whack it with a pen! Seriously, that's how I fixed mine. I spent a good bit of time trying to figure out how to unstick the button and debating whether or not I wanted to start tasking things apart. Out of frustration I picked up a plastic pen sitting on my desk and whacked to top knob a few times. The button popped up and it's been working right ever since.

Worth a try.
