My Nikon F2 with Dp-1 viewfinder recently stopped working, it used to work years ago. It was stored properly without battery, recently I put in fresh batteries, and meter has no movement. I tested the battery terminals on top of the camera with multimeter, it has 3v measurement, so I know power is delivered to the DP-1 finder. Then I pressed battery check button, meter needle has no movements. I researched online, and found the adjustment and cleaning procedure document, tried to follow it to clean the ring resister and everything, still not working. Any idea how I can diagnose the issue? Looks like some where there is open circuit, or you guys think the meter is completely toasted. Thanks!

I have had a F2 body that failed to get power to the terminals like you tested. Other than that I've never had an issue. So I'm not much help I'm afraid.

Since you know it's not a camera issue, you need to start working your way through testing the contacts in the meter itself.
It could just be the two main contacts, maybe a solder has come away or dirty contacts.
No power is usually easier to track down than incorrect readings.
Actually I just had one delivered to me today as I was one finder short, haven't had chance to test yet, but looks nice and clean.
