Nikon F100 rubber covering/ qeustion

My F100 has shed some weather-sealing and may be planning on losing the rubber grip cladding. The weather sealing is the neoprene strip around the battery holder. I tried to glue it back, and failed, and then said "@!!%&& it", and ripped the plastic off. So far I haven't missed it. The rubber cladding may become a problem down the road. If it comes loose enough to require repair, is it worth it to try to contact/rubber cement it back, send it out for repair, buy another body or just live with the stuff flopping about? What has been some of your experiences with this camera and its covering?

Other than this, it's a great camera.

I believe that the grip and seals may be available from Nikon. I've bought them before and they were not too pricy, includes adhesive, basically peel and stick.

The rubber on the F100/F5 and Digital equivalents, at least in my experience, grows/expands when it gets too warm and it doesn't seem to return to original shape or size when it cools.

My experience is the same as Mark's. I finally just cut the stretched rubber "O" ring to the proper sizeand put it back in with some rubber cement. So far it's holding fine.
