I don't know if this is any help, but I had an N80 with this problem, and I repaired it by making little tabs out of black plastic, using a picture of a good door for reference, and sticking them on with super glue. The camera now works flawlessly. It took about an hour from start to finish.
Well, after 6 years of regular use a latch broke on mine the other day as well. It does seem that replacement doors are getting harder to find. F100 bodies are cheap enough that it almost makes sense to just buy another body. Guess I shouldn't have sold my F6 so soon... You could always pick up an MF-29 data back in place of the standard back. Keep an eye on the KEH page.
Would you be interested in any of this, which I currently have on Craig's List (Boston area)...Nikon MB-15 winder for F100, $60. Mf-29 Date Back for F100, with box and papers, $75. I'm not going to use them, so perhaps someone out there can. Thanks.
Hi Guys, with recent Nikon discontinuing service for film cameras, does anybody have any new experience & solution with this problem?
Thank you in advance?
