So get this, whenever i point the camera above my head, the diopter, jumps out and everything is blurry. I can touch it iwthmy fingers and tell that its moving in all directions. Is there a way to fix this? Ive read that if you try to turn it clockwise, it can be screwed back in. I just dont know how to do it since its too small, I would also consider opening this area up but i am not sure which screws (anyone got a plan somewhere)?

Thanks in advace!

That's one of the real Achillie's heels of the F100; that and the back door breaking off tabs. Nikon should be ashamed for those two very bad design flaws in an otherwise excellent camera!

There is no simple solution. You can buy a non-fuctioning body off of Ebay and try to swap out the broken parts, but they are fragile plastic and most often you break the new parts just trying to install them. Maybe purchase the spare body and send it to a camera repair shop?

If you get the camera top off, you can also super glue the diopter down to the rails it slides over, but that is a pretty poor fix if you ever intend to sell the camera.

No real good solution I know of...
