I would like to ask people who have used at least two of the F, F2 or F3 cameras.

Have you noticed any differences in the coarseness of the B/K screens? Are the older focusing screens for the F and F2 coarser than the ones in F3, and do they visualize thin depth of field (f/1.2~1.4) better?

What is a B/K screen?

B: standard matte field with fresnel.

K: the same as B, but this time with a split image rangefinder and a microprism collar in the center.

I have used view screens in F, F2, F3, and F4 Nikon SLR cameras.

I have a complete set of screens for the Nikon F and/or the Nikon F2. There is no difference between the F and F2 screens.

I have the A, K, and the plain matte (B?), and yes the plain matte helps me to see DOF much better. The matte screen is my favorite screen.

Mine are F3 screens which I use on my F2 (adapting them)

The f3 screens that i use in my f2, require me to adjust the meter. How much tho, depends on the screen. But i do adjust the meter, so the F3 red dot screen has to be brighter.

Yes the red dot screens are brighter even when compared to the normal F3 screens.

Have you tried to compare plain (non red dot) F3 screens against the ones for F2? Do the F2 screens have coarser texture?

From what i recall, the non red dot screens are the same as the f2 red letter screens.
