Nikon D610 problem

I'm not sure where to post this, but here goes. My D610 will not keep the date function in its memory when the camera is shut off. It does keep the proper time data. So, each time I turn the camera on I have to put the current date in. If I forget, I get dates from 2000 to 2099, The month and day are also screwed up. I have the faint hope that someone knows a quick fix for this, but otherwise I'll have to send it somewhere for repair. Anybody else ever have this problem?
