Hi Team,
My Nikon f100 recently has a sticky body surface, almost seemed like it is actually oozing out of the rubber grip material?
As mentioning this to my friend at Starbucks, he reached into his camera bag and produced a Contax RTS 2 camera with the same problem, in his case the leather is sticky....
Not that this condition affects the camera operation....however...
A) is there a fix for this, maybe a chemical or liquid used to arrest the sticky Ness?
B) if the body covering does have to come off, how do you clean residue on the metal body..
C) what covering can be used as a replacement, do they make pre cut kits or do you get a piece of leather and razor blade.
D) I remember seeing a Pentax me for sale once with snakeskin type covering, I would be just ok with basic black rubber material..
Any sources or suggestions are greatly appreciated, as there must be several “sticky camera bodies” out there..
Please be Safe!
