Nikon AF Zoom-NIKKOR 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5D IF-ED
The lens on Nikon’s site: Check this for technical specifications:
Dead Link Removed

The 18-35mm AF-D works with everything Nikon has made from 1959's first F to today's D3.
The only thing it won't do is autofocus with the cheapest digitals like the D40 or D40x, but so
what, it doesn't autofocus on manual focus cameras, either. The 18-35mm does give full
exposure automation and a manual focus confirmation light on the D40s.
This 18-35mm pretty much does the same thing as the 17-35mm f/2.8 AF-S,
in plastic with more distortion, but with slightly better sharpness, for a lot less money. (about $1100 cheaper)

Nikon calls this the Nikon AF Zoom-Nikkor 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5 D ED IF Aspherical.

D: Sends focus distance information to camera for better exposure, especially with flash, than non-D AF lenses from the 1986-1993 era .
ED: "Extra-low Dispersion glass." Magic glass for sharper images.
IF: Internal Focusing: it focuses and zooms by moving the internal elements.
Aspherical: Specially curved lens element which allows higher performance.

This lens sells for $616 new from B&H Photo with the included Nikon HB-23 Lens hood.

Lens is in excellent condition - glass is free of scratches and mold. Rubber grip is good, seals are good, focus is smooth. (again lens is in top notch condition.)

I'm going completely to Canon gear - so I'm selling everything I own that is Nikon.

$282 - price is firm.

I own this lens and it is GREAT// just wanted to mention that it IS NOT IF as you describe. at least the ZOOM extends the lens.....
I double checked the link because, I use mine every day and it is not IF for the zoom!!... the rest is spot on.

Huh? Can you explain this further? The lens does say IF (internal focussing) on the barrel.. see the photo.

I dunno... I see the IF on mine too... but the barrel goes in and out for the ZOOM function. Pick yours up and try it!
IT IS A GREAT LENS FOR FILMA AND DIGITAL. I had gear stollen last year this lens was in no doubt replaced with the same one.

In the alternative, you could just read the advert and figure things out for yourself.

Jim,

Sorry to waste your time, but I feel your comment is a bit snarky. I've tried to find posts on here with titles that say "US ONLY" and I'm coming up short, and I'm finding quite a lot of ads that will only ship to the US without "US Only" in the title. I've looked for some sort of rules/etiquette on here that says I have to do that, and also am coming up empty handed.

Regardless, - sorry if I wasted your time, but my ad probably isn't the only one on here that will only ship to the US. anyway.. someone just bought the lens.
