Nikon 24mm ai - Really?

As a beginner, i was "afraid" to say anything, but i wondered similar my self.
Would a better or more sure test come from the Camera/Lens mounted on a tripod, and the subject matter a Building, Truck, House, Train, or something along those lines.?

Not necessarily. I can assure you that neither I nor the blades of grass in my caboose shot were moving. Judge (and think) for yourself.
