I just happened to notice that the transparent time scale visible inside the pentaprism finder of my faithful Nikkormat FTn is out of synch: it displays times approximately 1 and a 1/2 times faster than those dialed on the shutter ring. Not a big deal as I don't have the habit to read the scale inside the finder, moreover the lightmeter seems to work correctly with the times written on the shutter ring (so perhaps it's out of synch since many years and I just didn't notice before), however it's annoying to know that your favourite camera is defective and should need repair.

Is this perhaps anything that can be put back on track with some particular manouver of the dials? Or by adjusting anything that can be accessed from the lens mount, below the pentaprism etc? Or does it need a complete disassembly of the camera?

Thank you!

Doesn't the ASA/ISO setting move the shutter speed indicator in the viewfinder? Maybe the linkage is bent or loose?
