I have here a Nikkormat, and the repair manual. I've disaseembled and repaired various problems on these things. On this one, I want to go directly to the shutter. And I don't want to do more disassembly than necessary. To remove the mirror box, is it possible to pull the whole thing complete with pentaprism, metering assembly, shutter dial and lens mount? The whole kit and kaboodle all at once and simply lift it free. Is this possible? Or do I have to do the tedious complete stripdown? Thanks.

1 day later. Just dor sake of the archives, yes you can pull the complete mirror box, meter, shutter speed dial, lens mount--the whole thing all at once. Lust be sure the CHS cells come free from the wholes they're in so they can stay behind dangling on the body casting.
