For sale is a Nikkor H-C 5cm ƒ2.0 Tokyo lens in Leica Thread Mount. The serial number puts this one in the first year of non-collapsible LTM production (August of 1950, if I remember correctly); it has a click-less aperture ring and is quite hefty as the earlier examples are reputed to be. This version focuses to 1.5 feet, naturally sans-RF coupling from about 3 feet.

I bought this from KEH in UG condition. The aperture ring was stuck solid from dried grease, the focus was uneven…I've remedied these issues and now both move evenly and easily. There remains a little bit of oil on the aperture blades, the lens shows signs of use on the barrel, but otherwise it is a solid user cosmetically.

The main issue is optically - there's a lot of cleaning marks/scratches up front and there was some internal haze. The haze cleaned up for the most part, but the wear up front is what is going to make this lens "unique" for life. It effects contrast and the images it makes have a bit of "glow" to boot. I used this lens as a special effect lens recently, but when it was my only 50 it worked well as a walk-around lens so long as one stays wary of the light (keep the sun behind you, use a lens hood, etc). See the pictures, I tried my best to show these issues and used an LED light to emphasize them.

I'm asking for $160, which is what I payed for it in it's original condition and I think accounts my working on it personally (vs. a pro CLA). Shipping is $10 in the CONUS, Int'l PM and I'll calculate exactly. Payment though PayPal, fee split even. Included are a well worn Heliopan filter and a non-original Nikon lens cap. If you'd like, I can also include an off-brand LTM>M adapter.

Like I said, this lens is a nice effect lens - I used it as my standard walk-about lens until I could afford something nicer. Feel free to contact me with any questions - THANKS! (This pic's are sideways for some reason - I certainly took them right side up!)
