Nikkor 5cm F2 in Leica thread mount. This is a beautiful chrome black-rimmed late model which is somewhat uncommon. I would rate the condition as very good for its age. There are a smattering of fine micro scratches on the front coating and some internal dust, but no haze, oil, fungus, or separation as far as I can see. The overall glass aspect is very clear. The mechanics are all very smooth and there is no oil on the iris blades. The external cosmetics are very good with no evidence of abuse or damage and it has a clean un-dinged filter thread. My guess is this lens was not used much at all. It comes with a very vintage original front metal cap with the old Nikon seal and a new after market rear cap.
This amazing lens will focus down to 1.5 feet, although most rangefinders are calibrated to only 3.5 feet. One measures these short distances with a tape measure. The lens has a focus detent at 3.5 feet to provide a tactile indication to the user that one is at the minimum conventional focus distance.
