Slimming down to make life easier for my heirs and this is one that needs a new home and user.
This is a really sweet Retina IIa. The shutter is accurate on ALL speeds (at least to my ear). Slow speeds run smooth. The Schneider f 2 Retina Xenon lens is very clear and clean, no cleaning marks of any sort. There's two very small wear spots of the black paint on the back, otherwise the camera is very handsome, bellows look good, camera opens and closes very smoothly.
All-in-all a very compact take-along shooter. I like these because they are more compact than the later fancier III-series. I suspect they are sturdier because they don't use that bottom film advance with the worm gear that seems to go out on those.
The only flaw on this one is the film counter does not work -- does it work on any of these? I have yet to find one, and lack both parts and expertise to fix it.
Anyway, $60 includes insured priority shipping anywhere in the Continental US. First money to my paypal gets it -- my paypal address is summicron12000@yahoo.com.
Also my email. Questions?
Thanks for looking.
