After dealing with the Nikon F4 and its tired aperture lever, I'm wondering what my next repair project should be.

Since I'm not just writing for myself 😌 I'll quickly ask you what interests you:
  1. Leica R3 MOT Electronic, problems with aperture priority mode or
  2. delving into the world of Minolta motor drives and winders? The latter tend to fail, at least that's my experience.
Please give us your feedback.

Both, as I really enjoy viewing your threads. But kind of biased to the motor drive and winder as I have one for my XD11, which came full of battery corrosion, but with the stroke of luck operates without issue after cleaning it. I don't use it much, but I am interested

Thank you for your feedback!

Leaking batteries are a common problem, but so is oxidation in the removable battery holders and on the battery contacts of the winder. But I suspect there are also electronic problems with the Minolta Auto Winder G.

I'm just wondering which ones, because apart from certain capacitors, electronics shouldn't break on their own. But two Auto Winder G that were fine before stopped working after two years in the closet. We'll find out.

The problem with the Leica R3 could be related to defective capacitors. At least that's what I hope.

Then the Minolta motors and winders will probably be the next project. I won't forget the Leica R3.

Great, it starts after Easter ✌️

Before that I'll read up on it.

Which motors and winders, for the X manual focus or the A mount 9000, the only pro level AF body that did not have integrated film advance.
